- Tobago is fantastic, you have all the pleasures of the other Caribbean Islands, but without the over commercialization. Beaches are spectacular, food is excellent, everyone is friendly and there is a wide choice of activities such as diving and hiking to choose from. Well worth getting off the beaten track.

- Cruising around the Tobago Cays for a day aboard a catamaran couldn't be a better way to rediscover the beautiful, untouched parts of the Caribbean.

- Beachside holiday between sea and airport runway. We stayed at Sandy Point Beach Club, Crown Pointe, a family run resort with friendly staff but basic accommodations that needs attention. It appeared to be the poorest resort in the area.

- We stayed at the Sandy Point Beach Resort in Tobago. The resort is a beach based holiday offering a wide variety of entertainment, excursions, and dining (both local and international). The resort is actually within walking distance of the airport, but do not let this put you off, as there are mainly domestic flights landing so noise is minimal and does not affect the enjoyment of the resort.

- My husband and I invited another couple to join us on our annual winter vacation to a warm place. This year's choice was Tobago, in the far southern Carribean off the coast of Venezuela. The scuba diving is great there.
