During my younger years I spent many weekends in the Eungella Rainforest. About two hours west of Mackay, Eungella has been isolated for thousands of years, allowing the rainforest to nuture an abundance of native life. Covering 54 000Ha, this is where tropical and sub-tropical rainforests meet.

Mackay is one of the most beautiful cities on Australia's eastern seaboard. Its blue water, lush rainforests and casual lifestyle combine to make it the perfect getaway. In Mackay, people's flip-flops (Australian: thongs) don't even slap when they walk.
