Beutiful place, unique experience, but double the cost and chalk up your walet. The money exchange rate for the australian dollar is 1.12 USD = 1 ASD however that does not mean that things are equal. It will cost you twice as much to eat, sleep and have fun.

Cairns is a great winter destination for travellers. The best of the 'must see' places is of course, the Great Barrier Reef. The beaches all along this coast are great. Inland and further up the coast, there is a lot of spectacular rainforest.
