Hannibal, located on the banks of the Mississippi River, is famous as the boyhood home of Samuel Clemens, a.k.a. Mark Twain. Author of the classic tales of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, Twain (and his characters) is fondly remembered in Hannibal’s many sights and attractions.
