- Virginia Beach, for me, has greater charm off season than it does during the summer. Leave the suntan lotion, bug repellant, and swimsuit at home and pack woolen socks, binoculars, and hiking boots. The shoals of tourists have departed, but the sun still rises each morning out over the ocean.

- The Neptune Festival 2009(Sept. 25th-Sept.27th) was an unexpected treat to start off our fall week at the beach with a bang! The festival brought artists, craftsmen, artisans and chefs together for a 2 mile long festival of food, fun and crafts.

- I take a trip to Virginia Beach usually once every fall. It is less crowded but there is plenty to do.
