Slidell started out as a town where simple country folk wanted to live around more trees and larger properties than on the other side of Lake Pontchartrain. My home away from home is a destination where there are interesting people, stories, and always something to do.

Relax in New Orleans

We stayed here to unwind from the cruise we just came from. Slidell, Louisiana, is located just 25 minutes from the heart of New Orleans. It's a nice, friendly community. We took a swamp tour with no mosquitoes, saw the D-Day Museum, French Quarter, and the site of the Battle of New Orleans.
