- Thanksgiving in York, Maine is cause for a celebration, as this is the weekend when the Christmas lights are lit on Nubble Lighthouse, the most photographed lighthouse in the U.S.

- One of my three favorite destinations is southern Maine, Ogunquit and York to be precise. On this trip, the weather was rainy but did not stop us from enjoying our time.

- "York Days" is a celebration of beach, carnival, and farmer's market held annually. There is a fair for the kids and auction/craft sales for adults, sand castle sculpting contest and ends on Sunday night with a fireworks display from Short Sands Beach. This is an good family spot for a down Maine vacation.

- Since I was young, my faily has taken a yearly vacation in York, Maine. Today, I continue this tradition with my husband and son. The beaches are beautiful. There is an arcade, amusement park, and petting zoo within walking distance of the beach. Kittery is only 10 minutes away.

- York is located directly on the Atlantic Ocean in Southern Maine. It is approximately one hour from Boston and Portland. Whether you have one evening or one week you will surely find quality activities her to fill your time.

- We often visit this beautiful harborside town. There are numerous beaches and parks to visit aswell as some nearby outlet shopping nearby. We always find lots of fun things to do.
