Aptly dubbed the cotton castle, Pamukkale is truly one of the most incredible natural wonders in Turkey. It is known for its curative waters and hot springs and is quite a resort town. Staying at the Richmond Hotel here was luxurious by comparison to other venues in Turkey.

Pamukkale means in Turkish something like "cotton hill". And it is truth. When you look around the place when you are staying in the centre of this great natural monument you'll say the same. Heaps of "cotton" made by calcium and water through thousands of years are very fascinating.
