Cherry Orchard Aparthotel is one of the best resorts we have stayed in. The furnishings were all up-to-date and very clean. We had a two-bedroom apartment, the bedrooms were of an ample size, there were twin or double beds, and there was a large lounge and kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils. Within the complex, there was also a good-sized heated swimming pool and a lovely warm Jacuzzi. There was also a sauna, and for the sun-worshippers, a stand-alone tanning cabinet.

This island is pretty close to England and before the time of large-scale continental tourism it was invaded by the population of England's textile towns in their respective holiday weeks. Today, out of the main tourist season - which includes the TT races - it is a haven of calm.
