Bison Ranch is a cozy family resort set in the picturesque White Mountains of Arizona. At first glance it may appear that the rural location doesn't offer enough in the way of entertainment, but as is the case with many areas of Arizona, there are many hidden gems.

This place is really something. It's an Old West motif resort with modern, spacious suites. Lots of shops on-site, good restaurant, and a gorgeous pool area.

The ranch is beautifully decorated and has a ton of ambience. We came from Tucson and were surprised to find the trip was about 4 hours plus on windy mountain roads. It was unbelievable scenery but a long haul. The resort is Old West-style and there are numerous quaint shops along a boardwalk.

The trip to the Bison Ranch, Overgaard, Arizona with my 14-year-old niece was very nice. The facilities were excellent and we found plenty to do. A car with unlimited miles is a necessity.
