Photos are sometimes better than words. In the first photo, you can see my wife and a second lady from our party in front of the CHECK-IN COUNTER at Sandoval airport. The third shows an Asian Spirit plane landing on the airstrip (a widened and cleared patch of jungle without tarmac), and in the fourth, I ask you to notice the FIRE BRIGADE SERVICE in the left corner of the photo.
The check-in counter has a plaque in front of it thanking and honouring those who dreamed of constructing an airport in the middle of the jungle. The dream is now a reality, with two daily flights from and to Manila on both Seair and Asian Spirit planes.
Flying or arriving at Sandoval is an experience to remember for the rest of your life.
