If you're on a limited budget with a family, this is the place to stay. Play on the beach, swim, or fish every day. There is a gazebo with a pier where you can fish and a place to clean your fish. Live music everyday, food and drinks in the gazebo area. You can go shopping in any of the stores with your swimsuits and your gear. The people are very friendly and helpful. In the evening, walk along the beach as the tide comes in and watch dolphins swim along the shore. See families having great time. This is good place if you just want to relax. Visit the lighthouse and climb the 178 stairs to the top. Take a tour of Savannah for $26. They will pick you up and bring you back. Close

The last time we came here it was closer to the winter months. This time we wanted to go there again and this time we took friends with us to share this wonderful place. They were very impressed with the island. We even bought some local shrimp for $5.99 a lb. If you ever get the chance to visit please do so. You will fall in love with this place as fast as we did. First Night Dinner: We arrived here a little past 1pm. Got the site setup and Bobbi, who had worked all night (she's a nurse), decide to take a little nap. I fixed dinner for when she got up. Menu: grill med rare rib-eye steaks, Maryland crab balls, blue cheese sauce for the steaks salad with Rance dressing and balsamic vinegar and black truffle oil for me baked potatoes with butter and sour cream. Dinner was excellent, and we had a Little left over steak and potato but they will get used at breakfast. The temperature was about 72 degrees and had a slight breeze blowing off the ocean. Dinner was great and the company was excellent!
As we came into Tybee Is we also noticed that they have a Casino Boat that takes off twice daily. We did not stop and go out, but we did want to let you know that there was one available if you wanted to go.…Read More
