Visiting Lake Placid

The renowned Adirondack sports hub of Lake Placid, New York, takes its skiing seriously. Whiteface Mountain lures downhill enthusiasts with the highest vertical drop east of the Rockies, complete with bobsledding and a toboggan slide, while miles of cross-country trails await below. At night, partying takes precedence, and all skis point toward the restaurants of Mirror Lake.
