Redondo Beach is part of the South Bay, which is known for the large variety of ethnic communities that reside here. There are Polynesians, South Americans, and Asians, as well as others. You can find an Argentine market here, or a Korean market in nearby Torrance. You can find an Indian video store or a Peruvian restaurant. It's mind-boggling to realize how many different ethnic communities are clumped in a small region of L.A. called the South Bay, but it exists. Unfortunately, most people don't discover it unless someone points it out to them.Close

Redondo Beach has its Farmer's Market on Thursday mornings from 8am to 1pm, near Veteran's Park.
Usually several of the farmers have certified organic produce. Kettle Corn (a farmer's market favorite!) is available. There's at always at least one flower stall. One person has seedlings for sale at very good prices--I picked up some Chandler and Seaside strawberry plants today, and in the past, I have gotten some heirloom tomato plants and herbs.
Per the city's website, you can park in the Redondo Pier parking garage and get your ticket validated for one hour. I've always managed to get parking on Esplanade or Catalina.
