Those seeking a vivid window into Aberdeen’s past need look no further than Provost Skene’s House, a period house featuring décor from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, while the city’s artistic treasures are housed in the 19th century Aberdeen Art Gallery. But Aberdeen’s not all museums and old houses – there’s a host of excellent restaurants and hopping nightlife in the Granite City.
