We went to the Gleneden Beach timeshare. The units were very nice, but we already own one and really didn''t need any more vacation weeks. One advantage of the Worldmark program was that travel can be per day versus per week.
With the amount of points they were trying to sell us, it just seemed like we would need a whole lot of points to take a nice vacation at a Gold Crown Resort during the summer months. We would have to wait two to three years to take a week vacation. Their selling point was that we could use these last minute 45-60 days out weeks or days for a substantially lower amount of points. If we went on these last minute trips, we would be able to take three weeklong vacations a year. There were definitely pluses and minuses to the points system, not to mention the cost.

Lincoln City, OR, and the Neskowin Creek RV park are a wonderful place to go and relax. I have been there a couple times and I will continue to go back there. On this particular misadventure, however, many things went wrong! We had water pipes blow, and could not get the propane to work. We had to drive up the bathroom every time anyone had to go, and with children, that can be a LOT! Nothing was going to deter me from camping though so we stayed and roughed it. We cooked on the Baby Weber (charcoal) that I had brought along, and boy was I glad I had it! We even mac-n-cheese on it one night!We took the kids to the beach every day. The beach in Lincoln City has lovely soft sand, and is very clean. Not the best place to find shells though because there are so many people looking. Close
