Washington often needs distinguishing from the District that shares its name, but the similarities end there. Though home to giants like Microsoft and Boeing, the state is a trove of natural beauty from the Puget Sound and rainy Seattle to the Cascades in the east, and prides itself on being the Evergreen State.
