Emerald Isle is a great, relaxing beach in southern North Carolina. Emerald Isle is a private beach environment. This means that there are not tons of crowded hotels. When you look out on the beach there is plenty of space you can claim as your own, no fighting to find a place to put your stuff. There are plenty of beachfront houses to rent all along the beach. Emerald Isle is one of only two North-South facing islands on the east coast, allowing for a unique opportunity to see the sun both rise and set in the ocean. Emerald Isle sunsets are some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world! There are plenty of things to do on the island. There are plenty of putt-putt and go-cart courses to provide off-the-beach fun. There is great fishing on both the ocean and sound sides of the island. Close
