My wife attended convent in Palazzolo,a small town about 40 miles west,(inland)of Syracuse Sicily. Officially the town name is Palazzolo Acreide but the Sicilians have shortened it to Palazzolo, amongst themselves.
The town of Palazzolo was founded in the eighteenth century near the ruins of a Syracusan colony of Akrai. I don't have much background on the Church of San Paolo, I'm assuming that the church was built sometime in the eighteenth century also. There are no tours here and I couldn't find any signs telling the history of the church. I do believe the reader will have to agree the the facade of this church warrents a few more photographs.
