The moment you walk into this resort you will feel and see the Jamaican culture before you. You are greeted by a quartet playing soft Jamaican music. The staff at the resort are always smiling and you will be greeted with open arms. The resort itself is beautiful and clean and is located on the beach. The resort is located near the best Scuba diving site in Jamaica. We did a 90 foot dive during the day and a 40 foot night dive. The night dive was pretty darn cool. If you are not a certified Scuba diver, you can get certified within hours on the resort by the staff. The Scuba staff is skilled and very friendly. Snorkeling was peaceful and beautiful. We saw beautiful coral and fish that would eat from our hands.
Dining at Breezes was interesting. Jamaicans cannot make eggs. I don't know how eggs can get screwed up, but they were just bad. You are better off sticking to fruit, pancakes, and cereal for breakfast. Breezes starts grilling burgers on the beach at 10:00am and the bar is open at the crack of dawn. Dinner is always completely delicious at Breezes. You have to Dine at Martino's. Jamaicans can make Italian cuisine...and they prepare it well. This is a classy restaurant that requires reservations and prepares mouthwatering, exquisite meals. It was probably some of the best Italian food I've ever tasted...and I love Italian food.
The resort provides activities for couples in their nightclub during the evening hours. There was dancing, games, and prizes. For a lovely vacation, stay at Breezes resort in Runaway Bay, Jamaica.

We did leave the resort a few times. What you see on the sides of roads from your air conditioned bus can be disturbing. Children are half naked in the streets and families are living in straw huts on the side of the road. These sights are not pleasant. It is not recommended that you venture off the resort on your own. Breezes took us to a shopping district about 20 minutes away. The roads are horrible, by the way. They are hardly paved at all so as you can imagine, they are bumpy! Crafts made by the locals are beautiful. So many Jamaicans are very talented at carving anything you can imagine out of wood. There were amazing carvings of whales, dolphins, people, etc. Jewelry is also a popular purchase item. We bought a tanzanite bracelet and ring for a pretty good price. Close

This was my hubby's first time in Jamaica, so we had to go to Dunn's River! It was beautiful as always. We held hands with 40 or so other people and climbed the falls, stopping halfway for pics! The people that work there are very accommodating, taking pics and video of us! Beware of the shopping nightmare afterward, though: avoid or you'll be bombarded by people who have a hard time with NO! Close

The staff at our resort were very nice. It seems like the same people work night and day, so after a couple of days there, they get to know you by name which adds a friendly touch. They actually do activities with you, too. We were playing regular volleyball games with them and even had dinner with them a couple of times. Close
