Located in downtown Ojai, this stone house spa is set among oak trees on over 200 secluded acres. The setting is very tranquil and relaxing yet not too far from the quaint shops of downtown Ojai. I enjoy mud baths with a wrap. This 50-minute treatment costs $95 and consists of having mud gently massaged into your body. You are then wrapped in a light blanket to rest for about 20 minutes. The warmth and lightness of the mud is very relaxing and really does make the skin feel soft, as it seems to slough off the dry skin. After the mud is rinsed off chamomile lotion (known for its calming affects) is applied.
Other body treatments that use a powder massage, loofah and herbal oil include the Orange Honey Masque, Green Tea Treatment, and Petals, Sandalwood or Lavender Treatment. These cost $95 and last for about 50 minutes. Wraps include the Skin Dream that uses herbs to relax the muscles and the Elderberry and Ginger Detoxification to revitalize the skin. Both cost about $55 for a 25-minutes treatment. This complete spa also includes acupuncture, bio feedback, hypnotherapy and cosmetic dermatology and the Village Boutique. Day packages with several services and overnight packages are available as well.
