While traveling in Albania you will notice many things. For one, there are not really bus stations. If you want to go somewhere you have to know where the bus or minivan leaves from or ask a local, but they might not even know! Two, there are no time tables for when things leave. Again you have to know when things leave or ask around. If its a bus you're looking to travel with, most likely there is one that leaves on the hour. That doesn't work for all travel destinations in Albania though. If you're in the north looking to travel south, there may only be 2 or 3 busses that go that way the entire day. If you're traveling in Winter, most things stop leaving when the sun goes down so travel early so you don't get stuck somewhere. If you're traveling by minivan, make sure you ask the price before you get on. Usually they won't but some minivan drivers will increase the prices for foreigners. Your best bet is to watch a native pay and then pay the same thing. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you're traveling around Albania you must be flexible. Don't think that everything will go according to plan because most likely it won't. Just go with it though and you'll get to where you want to go :) Close
