It had been 17 years since I last visited Vermont for skiing. I had good memories of that visit, but over time one appears to retain primarily the good ones, and forget the bad ones. But coming back to Mount Snow proved that my good memories of before were still valid! The place was as wonderful as ever!!
I stayed at a resort in Wilmington, VT, only 20 minutes from Mt. Snow's Base Lodge. The Inn where I stayed is a historic monument, and whilst it has retained its charm of times past, it also has modern amenities in the units, as well as a nice pool and spa facility.
The village itself is small, but has some fine restaurants. And there are some nice activities in the area, such as the horse drawn sleigh rides!
