Visiting Lucerne

Lucerne, equally accessible to world-renowned Alps skiing and the vibrant markets of northern Italy, certainly wins points for location. Inside the city limits, why not head indoors to one of the ten town museums—among them the famous Swiss Transport Museum. Outdoors, you may feel inspired to explore every nook and cranny of Lake Lucerne aboard a steamboat or head to one of the surrounding pre-alpine summits via a nostalgic mountain railway.
