Visiting Great Barrier Reef
The world's largest collection of coral is one of many wonders visitors will discover in the colorful underwater canopy of the Great Barrier Reef. Spanning nearly 1,200 miles of Australia’s northeastern coast, the reef is rich with fauna—1,500 species of fish and 4,000 types of mollusks. It's also home to the endangered sea cow and loggerhead turtle, acts as a breeding ground for humpback whales, and contains over 30 notable shipwrecks.
