The beach of this small island is calm and serene, with its beautiful flowers lining the border of the beach from the main road where the street wraps around the island, encircling you with nature and the people of this small island. It is very clean and many of the Taboganas visit the beach during the day amongst all their other duties of the day. You will see fisherman taking the boats out for their long days of work and many of the small children trying to bet the military a game of basketball in the plaza to win soda or other beverages.
In order to get the full picture and feel of this place, one must visit. The people of the island are very welcoming and curious of their visitors. Its culture is one which you will definitely see as being very old-fashioned. The women at home raising the children, cooking, sewing, children as well you may find out and about with carts of small cups of frozen real fruit iceys. Men climbing up the coconut trees to chop them down and sell. There is nothing quite like it. Many a time you will see the prople out on their porches visiting rather than watching T.V. For fun, you can walk around the island, perhaps to the top of the hills to the Cross which stands on the tip overlooking the beauty of the ocean at sunset. You will see many interesting insects, animals, and way of life. Feel free to approach the islanders maybe you will find one to give you a tour themselves.
