I just completed a 6-day cross country journey across the United States to move back to my adopted home state of Idaho. I drove my mother''s car, and my Dad drove the moving van along with my car on the back of it.
We drove from Florida across the southern and western states to get home. I was alone in my Mom''s car the entire time, but I had a companion in my cat Snowy. Snowy is a 14-year-old fat, white cat who was the best companion one could ask for on a long journey. Snowy sat next to me in the front seat the whole trip and slept. People say that cats are bad travel partners, but Snowy is not like all cats. They say that cats can calm a person and lower blood pressure. I believe that is 100% true! Snowy would purr and cuddle up to me whenever he sensed I was nervous. When we drove around or through big cities, Snowy would wake up and rub his body up to me and paw me in the arm to tell me in his language that everything was OK. Turner Field in Atlanta, Georgia and the trains running from Ogallala, Nebraska were big points of interest for Snowy.
Snowy made this trip bearable for me. He was the best friend a girl like me could ask for, and I gave him a big hug to say thank you for being my buddy and for being in my life!
