The Kennebunks to me are the essence of a New England beach town. The shops, retaurants, people, and view are exactly what I had anticipated in my mind and then some. Maine is full of wonderful people who are kind and very polite. Life is simple and slow, and their accents are warming. There are so many good places to eat and great shops to look around. If you are big into antiques, there are plenty of antiques shops in and around the surrounding area. The beach is large and clean, and large rocks jut out on the far ends. This is one of those beach towns which can be great at any time of year because there is so much to do aside from beach activities. I would recommend this to anyone seeking a nice, quiet getaway with great food, fantastic scenery, and kind people.Close
