This part of Guanica is known for its mangrove beaches and can be reached through the public ferry port (at the fisherman's village past the Copamarina Resort).
The ferry costs a few dollars round-trip and takes about 10 minutes or less to drop you off at the beach site. Make sure you ask when the last ferry is, or you will have a nice hike to get back to the parking lot.
The water here is clear and refreshing, as there is a current. Conversely, weak swimmers will tire easily unless they are holding on to the mangrove trees--not recommended, as they are slimy underwater and you could break them, so be kind to nature over your ego.
