If you are looking for a great entertainment spot, the Riverboat is where you need to be. Built as a family entertainment center, it boasts a big ball bowling alley (cosmic bowling at night), a five-theatre movie complex, an arcade, and a restaurant up top.
The riverboat on a Friday/Saturday night is THE place to be if you are in middle school or high school from about 8pm until 10pm. After that, they cater more to the high school/university crowd, with the pub upstairs turning into the main bar in the Valley.
If you're looking for a family time, the best time to go is Saturday or Sunday afternoon. You can spend a few hours in the bowling alley, grab a movie matinee, and a bite to eat at the restaurant, all without leaving the building.
For the weekday bowling fans, the riverboat also offers all-you-can-bowl for C$5 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9am ‘til midnight. It's a great way to get your skills up!

Quispamsis is possibly the cutest, quaintest, friendliest place I can think of. There is nowhere else I would call home and really mean it. The people here are super friendly and our crime rate is pretty low for such a big place. Our community is the fourth largest in the Maritimes, but you'd never think it just from being here a day. We stretch from the main road (Old Hampton Highway) all the way up to Hampton.
If you are here in the summer, one of the events to check out is the KV Players theatre productions that are put on usually in July at Kennebecasis Valley High School. A classic favourite that keeps coming back year after year is "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and the directors (noting Mrs. S. Yerxa) never fail to find interesting and different performances for the whole family. The actors come from our own hometowns and the talent is so great that we have won numerous awards for our legendary shows!
Another great thing about the "Valley," as it's commonly called, is our Superstore. Recently rebuilt in a new location, it is the biggest grocery store in Atlantic Canada. It now boasts, along with the grocery section, a women-only fitness center, an optical store, a photo lab/shop, and a clothing/housewares department. It's like a major department store.
