As I said in the overview, Bingol is one of centres of partisan war between Turks and Kurdish people. Also today, there is a law which says that from 6 o'clock in the evening till 6 o'clock in the morning no one is allowed to move on the streets and roads without army permission. When I was hitchhiking through Hamamlar, suddenly at about half past 6 p.m. we were stopped by a tank staying in the middle of the road. So we had to spend night in Hamamlar. There are also many Jandarma (border police) checks all around this place.Close
