Driving through Twentynine Palms on the main highway, one cannot help but notice large murals painted on the sides of several buildings. Each of these giant murals presents a snapshot of history in this little desert town.There are nearly 20 of these murals now and the history they depict spans from the early founding days of the town through the latest conflicts that Marines from the nearby Marine base have been engaged in. An information sign showing the location of all the murals can be found on the north side of Highway 62 between Yucca Ave. and Smoke Tree Ave. Close
