We take drinks pretty seriously here at IgoUgo. Nothing lets us unwind like kicking back after a long week and sipping on a refreshing beverage on our porch (the Dallas team) or our rooftop (the New York team). With a quick roll over the taste buds, a drink can send us across the world and let us imagine that we are not confined by concrete and steel, but instead relaxing with a big hat and lots of sunscreen. Here are the drink recipes that we have been toasting with; to friends, family and travel!

Guava Pisco Sour
Makes us imagine we are in: Santiago, Chile

1 cup pisco + 1 cup guava nectar + 2 teaspoons superfine sugar + 1/4 cup lime juice + a few dashes of bitters + lime wedges + mint leaves

Add the ingredients in a large pitcher and stir to dissolve the sugar. Garnish with lime wedges and mint leaves to serve 4.

Ramos Gin Fizz
Makes us imagine we are in: New Orleans, Louisiana

2 ounces gin + juice from half a lemon + juice from half a lime + 1 egg white + 1 ounce heavy cream + 2 teaspoons superfine sugar + 1/2 teaspoon orange flower water + club soda

Put ingredients except club soda in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 2 minutes. Strain into a 10 oz. highball glass and top with club soda to serve 1.

Peach Crush
Makes us imagine we are in: Nice, France

1/2 large peach, sliced + 6 mint leaves + juice from half a lime + 1 1/2 ounces gin + 1 ounce Lillet + 1/2 ounce simple syrup + club soda + ice

Muddle peach, mint leaves, and lime juice. Add the rest of ingredients and top with club soda and ice to serve 1.

Blackberry Sangria
Makes us imagine we are in: Valencia, Spain

4 cups blackberries + 3/4 cups sugar + 1 1/2 cups water + 2 bottles (750 ml) rose wine + 1 cup Grand Marinier + 1/4 cup juice from one lemon + 3 peaches, sliced + ice

Boil 2 cups of berries sugar and water, then simmer for ten minutes. Crush berries and strain juice through a colander. Mix the berry juice (cooled) with wine, Grand Marinier, lemon juice, peaches, and remaining berries. Fill a large pitcher with ice and pour the sangria in to chill.

Blood Orange Italian Soda
Makes us imagine we are in: Naples, Italy

1 cup sugar + 1 cup water + 2 basil leaves + juice from 6 blood oranges + juice of 1 lemon + soda water

Boil sugar, water, and basil and allow to cool; remove leaves. Fill a glass with ice and mix 1 1/2 ounces of simple syrup to 2 ounces of the blood orange juice. Add lemon juice and soda water to taste to serve 1.
