Taradise aside, celebrities have always been trendsetting travelers, elevating humble spots like Saint-Tropez, Aspen, and Ibiza to gilded resort destinations. Now the vacation lifestyles of the rich and famous (down to the guy famous for that very phrase) are more transparent than ever, with hokey celeb zines covering travel and serious travel publications covering celebrities. We can’t help but watch and learn, and this summer is rife with new material. We saw that a world leader visiting Graceland will be playfully spoofed for years; a world leader visiting New Hampshire, maligned. And while most anyone could feasibly ride a motorcycle from Scotland to Africa, it’s more fun if you have TV and book deals (and maybe a lightsaber). We also picked up on a trend: for a taste of the globetrotting good life, England may be the best place to start.
