Between the honeymoon in the Seychelles and the trip to California in July, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (or just plain Will and Kate, if you will) will make their home on the Welsh Island of Anglesey. (Although, you might not see Kate on the No. 4 bus, you might catch a glimpse of her shopping at the local Tesco supermarket.) Remote with farmlands and a picturesque coastline, the area is steeped in history from the Stone Age to Roman times to early Christian settlers. If you're unfamiliar with Anglesey, IgoUgo presents a short pictorial on this Island that is (almost) frozen in time. Also, check out MichaelJM’s journal, Anglesey – Another Land.

A World Heritage Site, Beaumaris Castle, was never completed when work stopped in 1330.
