Cinco de Mayo is approaching, and whether or not you believe in going hog wild -- crowding your table with beers and margaritas aplenty -- it’s an excellent time to start planning a trip to Mexico. If you’re from the US, you might want to start Cancun, which holds a place of honor in the Spring Break Hall of Fame. For a taste of life past the border, slice up a lime and read on.
- Isla Mujeres: A fifteen minute ferry ride from the city, this little island is “a world away from its louder and brasher mainland neighbor,” says UK native dkm1981. It's also “one of two places to go in Cancun,” says another member, and “a great party.”
- Coco Bongo: Perhaps the best place to party in a worldwide party capital, Coc Bongo is “a nonstop incredible display of how a club should be,” says djinmypalmyfriend. Keep dancing till one a.m. for a taste of Mexican trance music.
- Interactive Aquarium: If swimming with dolphins isn’t enough to convince you -- and if it isn’t, really? --then maybe you’ll enjoy a chance to feed some sharks. According to our members, it’s quite a popular activity.
