IgoUgo Updates
Psst! IgoUgo members and fans... we’ve got something we want to show you: it’s our 2010 IgoUgo Member Awards!
Head over to the page and you’ll be able to vote on the best content -- reviews, journals and photos --
submitted by our members in the past year. You don’t need to be a member to vote on the awards -- but if you’re
inspired, of course, we hope you would become a member, or at the very least, become one of our fans on Facebook.
Voting closes on January 31st, and we’ll be announcing the winners shortly thereafter. For now, vote early and check out some of the best content that IgoUgo has to offer.

So happy about my nomination for Best Nature Writing, but I noticed a huge mistake on the nominees for the off the beaten path nods. The title of the journal "A Saturday Drive through Bagdad and Milton" is my journal from 2009 and was nominated that year, but you Liam Hetherington's name by it as the member. I don't want Liam to lose a nomination because of an error, and I have had my day in the sun with that journal along with some good natured teasing. So please look at the nominees in this category again and right the wrong.
Thank you,
Dianne

Same problem with the inclusion of 'The World's Second Oldest City' which was a 2009 journal of mine and not a 2010 journal by Maluse. I think it should be one of her German journals that's listed.

I just hit A Saturday Drive through Bagdad and Milton and it came up with Liam's Lisbon Journal. I hope you editors are reading this and will fix it. Liam deserves the proper recognition. I don't know how this happened, but I am sure you can take care of it!

One more error . . . on this blog page it encourages folks to " . . . vote early and often and check out some of the best content that IgoUgo has to offer."
Historically, the rules have prevented multiple voting and the vote page even states such "Be sure to make a selection in every category before submitting your ballot: you can only vote once."

Hi guys,
Sorry for this error! It looks like the links from last year's nominations were placed in the category for this year. We'll update this as soon as possible and extend the the voting period in order to rectify this error. Many, many apologies.
Also for voting: one vote per person, yes indeed; just take "vote early and often" as a figure of speech.
Once again, terribly sorry and we'll get this fixed ASAP.

Thank you, Alex. I am glad that the ones who are nominated for their journals will get the recognition they deserve once that error is fixed.
