How can you not love a journal that begins with a story called “Off to Our Usual Start” and the first line, “As usual in my world of travel, nothing ever goes smoothly”? It’s like finding a kindred spirit. In Lisbon, though, zabelle’s trip goes from rocky to ridiculously lucky in no time.
The longtime IgoUgo member is sharing this “long-overdue” trip to Portugal—her first—in the journal Adventures in Lisbon, and it’s quite a week. Share in her surprise as she inadvertently scores a “five-plus-star hotel,” spends two days with a Victor Emmanuel, and tries a salty snack that requires “an art which we have not mastered” to eat it (even though when she travels it’s “all about the food”).
