A Notable Newcomer Gets Writing

Posted on January 13, 2009 in Traveler of the Week

A picture may be worth a thousand words, but we still kind of hoped for some reviews from amillionmilestogo, a notable new member who shared 750 photos from nearly 90 locations since mid-November. Well, to employ another overused phrase, ask and you shall receive!

Like the traveler’s photos, her three reviews are a pleasure to peruse and come from a variety of destinations. Switching from Madrid to Jersey, England, and then Hay-on-Wye, Wales, she reviews “one of the finest restaurants on the European continent;” a “unique” hotel where she’s “greeted by name;” and a “grand little hotel/B&B” that’s “an absolutely splendid base for your secondhand-book shopping trip.”

She’ll have you at her titles—It’s More Than a Meal; It’s an Experience, George Raft/Bette Davis Would Have Been Right at Home, and Like Basil Meant Fawlty Towers To Be—but keep reading, because her witty observations and helpful tips only get better.
