IgoUgo's Week in Travel: Don't Be Scared Photo

As Halloween nears, things tend to get, well, a little weird. And, sure enough, some unusual destinations crept into IgoUgo’s top pages, thanks in no small part to our list of ten of the world’s most mysterious places. This content, culled from IgoUgo members’ journals, seemed to get people in the Halloween spirit: the blog post was far and away the most popular of the week (helped by a few extra endorsements that came with some spooky suggestions of their own).

The list also spurred people to check out some of the mysterious locales mentioned, and, for the first time, a journal about Centralia, PA, was one of our most viewed.

Rather macabre photos from Paris and Hallstatt, Austria, seemed to get in everybody’s heads. However, it was a photo of someone charging a car battery that took the number-one spot. Electric cars? Not as scary as the other way to navigate Alaska.
