If Europe dominated the previous week in travel, this week is all about the good ol’ U.S. of A. IgoUgo members put the States on a pedestal this week as summer temperatures continue to climb across the continent.
Both North America and the US sat atop the list of most visited destination pages while Chicago enjoyed its second consecutive week as a top destination, though still behind big brothers Las Vegas and New York.
The blog was also an all-American affair. Along with those Americans looking to stretch their dollars with free or nearly free summer vacations, IgoUgo members read up on Northeast alternatives and the top state tourism sites, as well as about
barbecue joints and hot dogs. What could be more American than that?
Finally, in true Yankee fashion, photos of Yankee Stadium bumped the House That Ruth Built to the top of the list.
