West Coaster artsnletters identified Mount Rainier in this photo within about 15 minutes—much quicker than the several days that passed before photographer cindylou11157 spotted the mountain on her Seattle trip. (The summit, she says, is only visible 180 days out of the year.) She finally caught a glimpse—and this snapshot—of the mountain from the top of the Space Needle on her final day in Seattle last August.
Our Seattle Sherlock revealed the location with this note: “The two sports stadiums, Qwest Field (football) and Safeco Field (baseball), with their distinctive rooflines, are a dead giveaway. That's Seattle, with Mount Rainier in the background.”
