When it’s cold, what better way to work on your tan than by going snorkeling or scuba diving somewhere warm? Always remember to protect yourself from too much sun exposure, especially when you’re in the water and may not notice a burn. However, be aware that most sunscreen is harmful to the coral that comprises reefs. There are plenty of alternatives though, so be careful and be thoughtful, wherever you are in the water. While millions of people are out celebrating the Year of the Rat, it is also the International Year of the Reef! Right now is the perfect time to take advantage.
