So much for mystery—people are obtaining travel’s Holy Grail left and right these days. Of course, this means the winds would be in your favor should you decide to set sail in search of this rare trophy: the formerly elusive around-the-world trip. But before you quit your job/wife/lease for a “RTW” journey reminiscent of Monty Python’s mishap-prone Grail trek, read the tales of the wise men, women, and nomads who have come before you. Then check out the fruits of our own little quest: both the best RTW resources and willing travel buddies that search engines could find, along with a treasure map of zany things to see along the way. If you’re not quite ready to kiss your current routine goodbye, you can enjoy your most vicarious travels yet through a very flexible guy named Jeremy David, currently making his way around the globe. Come to think of it, if you are ready for an around-the-world travel challenge, maybe a wandering Pythoner is just what you need.
