So driving in Guyana is quite an experience. So its outside the US so they drive on the left side of the road. Most roads are decently paved with the occasional major pot hole. The main advice is dont drive yourself anywhere if you arent very familiar with the area and driving. Most roads are two lane, one in either direction. The danger here lies in no matter what road, everywhere is a passing area. Sideroads and "highways" alike. Now besides worrying about the cars passing on your right, you will also have to watch for the roadside cows, goats, and horses wandering on to the road. Definitely an adventure.
