For the first time ever, we booked a great deal to Cancun. We went there in spite of growing fear of swine flu H1N1 virus, a weakening us dollars that was worth less than 12.50 pesos per dollar. What we got out of it was an amazing trip that was most relaxing, and equally thrilling.
We stayed an entire week that seems too short thinking back on the events that took placed. Le Meridien resort & spa was our home on this gorgeous strip of hotel zones, since this was our first time in cancun we didn’t feel too adventurous and chose to stay in touristy area. The location of the hotel is great, it was located to 4-5 restaurant in walking distance, we ended up dinning out at 3 of the restaurant all with fantastic seafood. The hotel being a four diamond rating did not disappoint from our free breakfast buffet to most relaxing massages it gave us a sense of all around pampering that we never had to ask for.
A few of the reviews noted the construction adjacent the hotel was noisy, on the contrary during our stay the noise was never a factor and we were enchanted by the sounds of the turquoise waves clashing against the pure white sand. We loved the pools, there were 3 pools in the hotel plus an additional penguin club pool for the kids. The staff was one of the most generous hotel staff we have met, they were extremely attentive and on more than a few occasional went above and beyond their role.
