The curio shops are good, but are highly priced.
A must see is the Islamic Center, a huge mosque bulit with donations from all major islamic nations. The mosque is open to non moslems at certain times and the architecture is really intricate.
The beaches are beautiful, with white pristine sand. Though most of the beaches are private and are exhorbitant, Kuda Bandos is a public island resort that mirrors any other resort in Maldives and swimming is a pleasurable experience.
