Today was a kind of take it easy day and we went to explore Tampa. Tampa is a pretty easy city to get around on foot, and so my husband and I explored the downtown area. Tampa is one of the fastest growing cities in Florida, but many old buildings have been destroyed to make way for the modern skyscrapers that dot the Tampa skyline.
Exhausted by our exploring, we decided to go to check out the Marriot Waterside Hotel Marina where our son works. It's pretty swanky. We visited with our son for a minute and decided to wait for him to get off work so we could visit Tampa's old Cuban quarter, Ybor City.
