Do not rent form Europcar Beaune. We booked the car and arranged to drop it off in Caen during our four weeks in France. We did all the paper work and were assured by e mail and in person all was taken care of. One week after we get home to Canada we get a call in broken English asking where the car is. We tell him and he hangs up. Low and behold we have not one but two charges on our VISA for 800 Euro from the owner of Europcr Beaune. We have attempted to contact him numerous times but he lies about his email, his fax and says he doesn't understand even our paid interpretor. Visa is of course useless in this area and we are in the process of going through the French authorities because Europcar has changed their phone numbers so many times even the agents in Canada and France can't even get in touch with head office or customer service.
THE LONG AND SHORT OF IT IS DO NOT DEAL WITH EUROPCAR.
After three months in 6 countries they are the only negative I can say about our fantastic trip.
