I took some time off from work and grabed my 16 year old son and drove down to Daytona Beach. I had not been there in a long time. My folks used to take my sister and I there for summer vacations in the 70's. I was surprized how much the area had changed. New hotels galore, new places to eat and the whole town was clean from the streets to the beach. We didn't even know that the town was hosting a car show that weekend. Held at the Daytona International Speedway, the car shows features a fantastic array of classic cars, muscle cars, antique cars and trucks. These folks love their cars! We saw several car clubs that had their own car show with a carshow in the parking lot of a shopping center. There are over 3,000 cars spread out all over the speedway property and many were for sale. They even had R/C car racing over by the garage area. On Saturday they had antique car races on the beach. That is where I took this picture. This was a real family friendly event and we met so many nice people as we walked around the speedway. Boy, the weather in March in Daytona Beach is picture perfect. Not too hot. My son is begging me to take him back next year
